BAREFOOT CHARLIE’S GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Owners of Barefoot Charlie’s have been active members of the Hendersonville/Sumner County area for several decades. That passion continues into the activities of the restaurant. The Manises are quick to support the community, combining events at the restaurant with fundraisers for organizations in Sumner County or even schools in the county.

Children’s Wing at Martin R. Curtis Library, June and July 2009 - Barefoot Charlie’s restaurant raised funds during its Full Moon Celebration earmarked for the activity room to the children’s wing at the Martin R Curtis Library.
Culinary Club of Ellis Middle School, April 2009 - 30 students from Ellis Middle School, members of the school’sCulinary Club, were treated to a behind the scene presentation on fileting a fish at Barefoot Charlie’s in Hendersonville.
Sumner County Humane Society, June 2009 - Barefoot Charlie’s Restaurant donated a percent of proceeds on June 18th to the Sumner County Human Society.
Spirit Night for Lakeside Park Elementary, December 2009 - Barefoot Charlie’s hosted Spirit Night for Lake Park Elementary School donating a percentage of the food proceeds to the school.
Hendersonville Samaritan Center, December 2009 - Barefood Charlie’s hosted Brunch with Santa collecting new toys for children from infants to sixth grade and financial donations. Christmas music was provided by Matt and His Steel Drums. Professional photography was availabe for a photo with Santa.
Ashley’s Place, December 2009 - Owners of Barefoot Charlie’s host a successful fundraiser for Ashley’s Place raising more than $2,000.
